Persian Zanjan Bidjar Runner, woven just north of Bidjar in the town of Zanjan

which is located in the Kurdish region of N.W. Iran.

In terms of weave and design, this runner is similar to that of a Bidjar - it is

finely woven combined with a thick, sturdy woollen pile formed by symmetrical

knots.

This particular Zanjan runner has a pleasing terracotta main colour with Herati

design overlaid and seven medallions alternating between dark blue and

cream.
