This carpet was probably woven in a village in the vicinity of Bidjar, and it follows the proportion of a Kelleghi (i.e. it's length is nearly twice it's width - indeed, it is approaching the 3.00x1.50m, 10'x5' in size). Although not as fine as the Bidjar town weave it is, nevertheless a solid, sturdy, character carpet with a desirable cream ground and medallion design.
