This carpet is just under 2.50x1.50m (8'x5') in size. It has a pronounced change in colour towards one end, this is known as "abrash" (colour change). It occurs when the weavers have used wool from a different batch - this is a feature of tribal weaving and is due to the wool being dyed in smaller quantities (traditionally due to tribal migration).
