Extremely Heavy Quality Persian Zanjan Carpet, woven near to the town of

Bidjar in N.W. Iran. This carpet has an incredibly thick woollen pile, and

is solid like a board.

It has a slight kink into the pile on one end, this is illustrated below.

Whilst this Zanjan carpet is not as fine as Bidjar carpets, it nevertheless has

the characteristics of Bidjar carpets with it's thick pile and solid construction.
