Persian Village

Village Persian Rugs are created in the villages of Persia (Iran) in more rural locations. These Persian Rugs are also woven on a vertical loom, and due to lower knot counts feature a rectilinear (geometric) design format. Village Persian Rugs are usually woven by copying Wagirehs (small sample rugs). The structure of Village Persian Rugs is wool-on-cotton.
