Motasham Kashan Full Restoration

 This late 19th Century/early 20th Century Persian "Motasham" Kashan dozar (1.96x1.23m) was sent to Iran for complete restoration.

The most serious problem was that a size-able percentage of the rug's cotton foundations has become brittle and the rug was breaking apart; this was particularly apparent towards the bottom left corner.

There was also numerous holes that needed reweaving:

The fringes had been eroded over time, and the pile was starting to come away at both ends.
