Rug Remedy – Moth Killer Spray 500ml
Rug Remedy Moth Killer Spray is supplied ready to use in a 500ml bottle
Instructions for use:
Remove pets and children from the room until dry.
Lightly spray the back and front of your rug (just a misting). For fitted carpet, spray the front only.
Leave to dry; this shouldn’t take more than 1hr.

After it has worked it’s moth eliminating magic, ceasing, on contact, the whole life cycle by killing the eggs, larvae (which are the root of the damage) and adult moths; it will evaporate and biodegrade.
Female moths prefer to lay their eggs in warm, undisturbed areas of your woollen fibres, so, to make the most of this superbly scented sought-after spray, be sure to use in the soft scape areas of your home. Remember to vacuum regularly under furniture, behind hanging textiles, rugs and mats, inside your wardrobe to protect your clothes, as well as quiet areas of your fitted carpets!
You may use any time of the year but be particularly vigilant at the height of the moth activity season; May to October.
Instructions for use
- Wear a mask even though the active ingredient is naturally derived, it is still potent.
- Close windows and doors and draw any curtains, spray around the walls, cracks, under furniture, on carpets, behind curtains.
- Leave for four hours, any insect will be killed on contact with the spray within a few seconds. The spray will carry on working during this time period.
- After four hours, open all doors and windows. Pyrethrum is highly photosensitive and is broken down rapidly by light and air so any remaining spray will evaporate.
- After a further four hours, the room will then be safe for use.
