Technique: Hand-knotted.

Material: Wool pile and wefts, with cotton warps.

Colours and Design: This Afghan Berber design runner has a cream main colour with large scale grey-blue abstract diamond theme, which is rather like the Moroccan Beni Ourain rugs.

Condition/Age: New.

Additional Information: 

The weave of this “Berber inspired” Afghan rug is very reminiscent of some Moroccan rugs.

This type of Afghan Berber has a hand-knotted woollen pile which has been cut fairly short with numerous woollen weft threads in between each row of knots. This combination creates a wonderful texture to the overall pile. 

We recommend using an underlay with this rug; perhaps consider Foxi Rug Underlay for use on fitted carpets or Superlux on hard flooring such as wood or tiles.
