Technique: Hand-knotted.

Material: Wool pile, knotted onto cotton warps.

Colours and Design: This Afghan Samarkand rug has a stunning combination of colours. It is multi-coloured and it has an abundance of colours such as blue, green, rust, brown, and beige.
It has a geometric design which is tribal in inspiration with animals (camels, birds and goats), etc.

Condition/Age: New.

Additional Information:

This Samarkand rug is from a very small production in Afghanistan, handcrafted by highly skilled weavers.

The pile is hand-knotted and made from hand-spun wool. The dyes are natural. It is a wonderful hard wearing quality.

The design is clearly inspired by ancient nomadic Persian Rugs.

Perfect for Sitting Room, hearth rug, Hallway or Bedroom locations.
