This Carpet is from a very small production in Afghanistan where they are skillfully recreating ancient museum grade carpets in an outstanding quality.

This breathtaking Afghan Garous Carpet is inspired by antique Persian carpets from the region around Bidjar-Garous in the Kurdish part of Iran. The magnificent design of geometric floral elements contrasts with deep blue background giving the entire carpet the impression of depth.

The pile is handknotted and made from hand-spun wool. The dyes are natural. It is a wonderful hard wearing quality.
