Origin: Afghanistan

Technique: Handwoven & hand-knotted. Kilim (flat-weave) and pile combination

Material: Wool, woven onto wool warps.

Colours and Design: This Afghan Mushwani square rug has colours of rich red, blue, and gold/brown. It has a geometric pattern. 

Condition/Age: It has a small repair pictured in the last image. New. 

Additional Information: 

Mushwani Rugs are made from a combination of weaving techniques. This consists of pile which is formed by knotting, and kilim which is made by flat weaving.

This arrangement creates a fascinating rug with a three dimensional appearance.

For use on a hard floor (wood, tiles, etc) or on carpet Underlay is recommended to prevent slippage.
