Colours and Design: This Afghan Kelim rug has a geometric all over design; multi-colour with terracotta, cream, green, yellow, blue and orange.

This Veg Dye Afghan Kilim rug is outstanding value! The wonderful jolly colours show very gentle and delicate variations of shade.

This Afghan Kilim consists of wool and is a handmade flat-weave, i.e. a rug without pile.  The weft coloured weft threads are woven in blocks which creates the pattern. The weave of this rug is interlocking, so there are no gaps in the weave where the colours meet. 

One of the many benefits of this type of kilim is that because of the way it is constructed it is the same on both sides, meaning that it can be used either way up.

For use on a hard floor (wood, tiles, etc) or on carpet Underlay is recommended to prevent slippage.
