The design is especially eye-catching showing a theatrical all over geometric Persian tribal theme along with extra wide borders.

This antique style handmade rug is from a very small production in Afghanistan where they are skilfully recreating ancient designs with colourful modern vegetable dyes. This Afghan Bidjar carpet has a hand-knotted hand-spun wool pile knotted onto a woollen foundation. It is inspired by ancient rugs from the vicinity of the Kurdish town of Bidjar. 

This rug is woven in an antique style, so the pile height/thickness is considerably shorter than the Persian counterparts. 

Rug underlay is recommended for use on a hard floor or fitted carpet, we stock a range of suitable, quality underlays.
