Colours and Design: This Afghan pink & blue kilim rug has attractive colours of raspberry, pink, blue, gold, green and turquoise. It has a geometric all over design.

Condition/Age: New.

This Afghan Kelim rug is outstanding value! The wonderful colours show very gentle and delicate variations of shade.

This Afghan Kilim consists of wool and is a handmade flat-weave, i.e. a rug without pile.  The weft coloured weft threads are woven in blocks which creates the pattern, and where two colours meet there is a tiny gap – hence the term slit weave.

One of the many benefits of this type of kilim is that because of the way it is constructed it is the same on both sides, meaning that it can be used either way up.

For use on a hard floor (wood, tiles, etc) or on carpet Underlay is recommended to prevent slippage.
