Size: 1.55×1.00m / 5’1″x3’3″ Thickness: 7mm

Origin: Afghanistan.

Technique: Hand-knotted.

Material: Wool pile, knotted onto cotton warps. 

Colours and Design: Greeny-grey main colour along with beautiful detail colours of pink, blue, rust-red, orange, and ochre. It has a geometric ladder-panel design containing an abundance of plant and animal motifs. 

Condition/Age: New.

This Samarkand rug is from Afghanistan and is handcrafted by highly skilled weavers.

The pile is hand-knotted and made from hand-spun wool. The dyes are natural. It is a wonderful hard wearing quality.

The design is clearly inspired by ancient nomadic Persian Rugs.

A versatile size that can be used in all sorts of locations around the home including Sitting Room, Hallway or Bedroom locations.
