Colours and Design: The colours of this Serapi rug are superb! The colours featured include pale grey main shade as well as colours of soft blue, navy, pale green, pink, gold and cream. The design is based upon a traditional Persian theme. This shows an all over floral theme with border adorned with traditional motifs.

This Serapi design rug is from a small production in Afghanistan where they are skilfully recreating ancient carpet designs in an excellent quality.

This breath-taking Afghan Serapi rug is inspired by antique Persian carpets from the region around Heriz in the Azerbaijan part of Iran. The imperious design of geometric floral elements contrasts superbly with the grey coloured field and the entire effect is enhanced and lightened by the light blue border.

These Afghan rugs are a wonderful quality. The pile is hand-knotted and made from hand-spun wool. The dyes are natural. This carpet is a wonderful hard wearing quality that is suitable for any location around the home.
