This hand-knotted wool and silk pile carpet is from a production expertly hand-crafted in the Bhadhohi district, India. It’s finely woven at around 200 knots per square inch and boasts 45% pure wool, 45% pure silk and 10% cotton (foundation). It is a newly created piece and specifically made for export.
High in quality, the design takes inspiration from traditional old carpet patterns from Persia. You will also notice other features of artisan skills in this creation such as the hand-cut pile creating high-low pile combinations imbuing a tactile texture highlighting the silk areas.
